Location - La Colina Retreat

Location.

Situated at 870m above sea level on a small hill (“colina” in Spanish) facing south, overlooking Mt. Madarao and the Tangram ski area.

In winter, the retreat is framed by the heavy snowfalls this region is world-famous for. In the summer, the sun glistens on nearby Lake Nojiri and in the endless forests in which forest therapy (“shinrin-yoku”) was first conceived.

Year-round, the fresh air and slow pace provide a comforting experience.

Access by car

We have ample FREE parking for our guests at the front, however, in winter check in advance when bringing more than one car per apartment.

To make the best of the ski area, it is recommended to travel with AWD/4WD, winter tires and/or snow chains. The access road to La Colina is cleared of snow every morning to facilitate access. On heavy snow days feel free to use our snow shovels.

Motorcycles are welcome! We provide kickstand pads.
